Park the rig, unhook, and you’re twenty minutes from lava flows and an hour from Leslie Gulch. Sunny Ridge sits on the edge of town with wide-open views of the Owyhee uplands — close enough to walk to dinner at the cafe, far enough from everything that the Milky Way shows up most clear nights.

Sites accommodate everything from big rigs to tents, and the park makes an easy multi-night base for rafters staging at Rome, hunters working the chukar country, and travelers breaking up the long US-95 run between Boise and Nevada. Book ahead for the Big Loop Rodeo weekend in May — the whole town fills up.

Motel

Basque Station Motel

The Basque Station is what a highway motel ought to be: straightforward comfortable rooms, room to park a boat or horse trailer, and owners who can tell you where the road to Three Forks gets rough.
